Hey loves!! So I was talking to my friend this morning about our priorities, and she was saying how she couldn’t see how she could put herself first when there’s so much more to be done. And at first I was nodding along, feeling the same way. And then I realized… No. That’s not how it has to be, we don’t have to always put ourselves on the back burner. In fact, we can’t afford to put ourselves at the bottom of the list anymore. As mamas, that’s our first thought, is to make sure everything else is done before we do something for ourself. And I don’t know about you… but my list is rarely ever 100% completed… and if I’m always at the bottom of my list, how will I ever get to myself?! The answer is, I won’t.
We don’t need to take ourselves to the spa everyday, or take a 2 hour long bubble bath. Self care can be something super simple & even something that doesn’t take a long time or a lot of money. Sometimes it’s just taking a quick trip to Target… because that can fix a lot of things. lol Or it can be watching your favorite Netflix show or YouTube video for 15 minutes. Other times it’s just spending a few minutes on yourself to do your hair & makeup & let yourself feel gorgeous… because Girl, You are worth it!!!
I challenge you to do something for yourself today, and don’t feel bad about it! You are worth being at the top of your list, you are worth your time & energy, you are worth so much more than you realize…. so treat yourself like you’re worth gold, because you are! Thank you guys so much for being such an amazing community that I can pour my heart into when I have something on my mind. I know sometimes I need to hear these things, and if I need the reminder, I know I’m not the only one. So I hope this can inspire you guys to move yourself up on your list & feel good about it!
