Meal Plan :: Organization is more than just physically organizing... you can also get organize your plans, like a meal plan! I try my best to do this every week, and definitely before going grocery shopping so that I know I'm giving myself the best chance of avoiding those last minute runs to the store as dinner is cooking & I'm also getting just what I need, and not overbuying!
Declutter :: Our fridges are filled with so many jars & condiments! How many of those are expired, or only have used? Decluttering those will open up so much more space, and give you clarity on what you still need!
Keep it simple :: Clear containers and labels are a great way to get started! (I'll link some of my kitchen favorites) This way you can see what you already have & need to get. The labels will give each type of food a place in the fridge. I also make sure to give my workspace a good tidy before starting to prep out any food!
Healthy food at eye level :: Keeping your healthy food choices at eye level will make it more likely you'll grab for it!
Keep produce fresh :: Add a paper towel (or cloth towel) to the bottom of your container to absorb some of the liquid, which will keep your produce fresh longer!

CHICKEN POT PIE SOUP
Ingredients:
1 lb chicken breasts
1 C carrots
1 C celery
1 medium onion (finely chopped)
2 C russet potatoes (bite sized pieces)
1 C russet potatoes (quartered)
1 Tbsp minced garlic
3 C chicken broth
2 Tbsp dried parsley
1/2 C unsweetened Almond Milk
Salt & Pepper to taste
First, chop all veggies into bite size pieces (*Remember 1 cup of potatoes can be left just quartered so they can be easily removed at the end.) Then, add raw chicken, veggies, garlic, & broth to your slow cooker. (I also like to add some of the parsley, salt & pepper now to season while it Cookes, but I also add more at the end!) Cook on low for 6 hours. Once cooked, remove chicken breasts & quartered potato pieces. Use a fork to shred the chicken, then add back into the slow cooker. Add potato quarters, almond milk, & a few labels of the soup broth into a blender. Blend until smooth. Next, add the blended potato & milk mixture back into the slow cooker (this will add thickness to the soup!) Stir everything together until combined. Add more parsley, salt & pepper to taste. Serve & ENJOY!!
DARK CHOCOLATE HALLOWEEN COOKIES
Ingredients:
2 C All Purpose Flour (I use gluten free)
2/3 C Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa Powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 C butter (softened)
2/3 C sugar
2/3 C brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 C total add-ins (We used Reese's pieces, peanut butter chips & white chocolate chips)
In a large mixing bowl, mix softened butter & sugars until light & fluffy. Then add in eggs & vanilla. Mix until combined. In a separate bowl, add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda & salt. Mix until combined. Add the flour mixture into the wet mixture, slowly until just combined.. don't over mix!! In the bowl you used for the flour, add in your mix-ins & stir until well blended. Then slowly fold those into your cookie dough. Next, use about 2 Tbsp of cookie dough to form each cookie & add them to a greased cookie sheet. (I love using a silicone mat!) Bake in a 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes. Once fully baked, let cool & ENJOY!!
